| The Goner worm has been detected at IU. If you receive a message with a subject of “Hi” and the initial body text of “How are you? When I saw this screensaver...” do not open the attachment. The worm spreads itself using Microsoft Outlook and ICQ.
Symantec has released virus patterns for Norton AntiVirus that will detect this worm. You should run LiveUpdate immediately to protect your system. For more information and updates from the Information Technology Security Office, see the GONE.SCR bulletin at:
