| Pediatric researchers at IU School of Medicine’s Riley Hospital open their hearts. Each year at Christmas, organizers from the Wells Center for Research at Riley, sponsor the Holiday Family Sponsorship to help families who have children being treated at the hospital. The fund drive assists families undergoing financial stress during a child’s hospitalization.
As the editor of the Wells Center newsletter writes, “Most of us can’t even imagine the burdens that these families are bearing.” Center staff members represent many nationalities and religions, but each year they share their time and money to give “some financial relief, joy and hope.” Click on the September newsletter and go to page 6. | |
