IU Kokomo hosting conference on technology, entrepreneurship Dec. 4

Indiana University Kokomo will be the host for the first North Central Indiana Technology and Entrepreneurship Conference Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Karl Koehler, director of the Indiana Twenty-first Century Research and Technology Fund, is scheduled as the luncheon speaker and will be a panelist for a mid-afternoon session on “Speaking from Experience—Those who have Succeeded.”

Among topics will be capital formation; intellectual property rights/patent development; business planning and profiling; franchising; and international marketing.

Those who are small business owners or who are considering business ownership, as well as government officials, economic development professionals and individuals or businesses interested in franchising will be attending the session.

Participants will include IUK Chancellor Ruth Person, Niranjan Pati, dean of the IUK School of Business and Michael O’Hair, director of the Purdue School of Technology program at IUK.
