ICTC offers support to researchers

McRobbie

Commenting on the dedication last week of the Informatics and Communication Technology Center on the IUPUI campus, Michael McRobbie, IU’s VP for IT and for research, said:

“By making supercomputing technology, advanced visualization technologies and technical support available to roughly 1,000 research scientists on all eight IU campuses, this environment enables scientists to analyze vast amounts of information—visually and literally, while enabling technology transfer and commercialization of innovations.”

Informatics and Communications Technology Complex
Computing is an "intellectual lever," says Daniel Reed, a member of President George W. Bush’s information technology advisory committee, and informatics is the field that offers common ground for researchers to explore human potential, he told an international forum earlier this month in Bloomington. Meanwhile, IU gets set to dedicate its Informatics and Communications Technology Complex on the IUPUI campus.
