Students produce Indiana State Museum exhibits

IUPUI students and organizations played an important role in the opening of the new Indiana State Museum (bottom photo), launched this summer in White River State Park, adjacent to the campus.

More than one-third of the animated “films” on display in the museum’s “Tomorrow’s Indiana” wing (below, uppermost photo) were produced by IUPUI students, many from the School of Informatics. For a few weeks yet, they will be available in the kiosks in “Tomorrow’s Indiana.”

An adjacent exhibit honoring Indiana’s innovators also highlights the campus, mentioning the IU School of Medicine experts who treated four-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong in his battle with cancer. The exhibit also honors other campus-based organizations, such as the Advanced Research Technology Institute, which helps campus researchers transfer their technological innovations into real-world applications.
