 | • IU East is in the midst of its “Paint the Town Red” seventh annual homecoming celebration that culminates tomorrow (Oct. 12). Since 1990, the IU East Alumni Association has awarded more than $19,000 in scholarships to IU East students and placed more than $30,000 in the IU East Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment Fund. http://www.iue.indiana.edu/
• Swimming World magazine has named IUB coach Dorsey Tierney’s women’s swimming program the best in the nation, based on a combination of athletic and academic success. The team finished 10th in the NCAA Championships last spring while combining a team GPA of 3.31.
• The IU School of Nursing’s MOM-mobile (Maternity Outreach and Mobilization) provides ultrasound service to high-risk pregnant women receiving prenatal care at the Marion County Health Department and Wishard Hospital neighborhood clinics; the number of exams provided last year increased 27 percent.
