October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and participating radiologists across the country will be providing discounted or free screening mammograms on the third Friday (Oct. 17). Call the American Cancer Society toll-free at 800-227-2345; the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations toll-free at 888-80-NABCO; or Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization toll-free at 800-221-2141 to find a list of facilities in your areas that participate in National Mammography Day.
