Well, it’s that time of year folks: Summer’s over. And now, since we’re all back into our school-year routine, take a few minutes to catch up on IU news. IU Home Pages kept up with newsmakers over the summer with three online-only issues. Don’t worry if you missed these stories the first time, you can catch back stories in the online archives.
Here’s a sampling:
• Student volunteers and staff from several IU campuses take the call of the wild seriously. That’s why they extend their service to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center (EFRC) in Center Point. The facility, located on 110 acres, is home to more than 170 big cats. http://homepages.indiana.edu/070904/text/outreach.shtml
• With a goal of establishing 24-hour programming for the 2004-2005 academic year, student-run IU Student Television on the Bloomington campus is in the final stages of production on Cruise Control, a weekly television series dedicated to showcasing Indiana. Go on a shoot with IUSTV staff and Home Pages; photographer Chris Meyer to the Bloomington Speedway. http://homepages.indiana.edu/082004/text/photocorner.shtml
• Feeling lost without your daily dose of Olympic heroes? Here’s your chance to put your trivia skills to the test. Did you know that at least one IU student-athlete has medaled at each Summer Olympics since 1932? Take the IU Home Pages IU-Olympics trivia quiz. http://homepages.indiana.edu/062504/text/quiz.shtml
