Variants of Mytob, a computer worm that sends out mass mailings using a computer's address book, have recently attempted to affect university computers. University Information Technology Services (UITS) has warned computer users to be vigilant about E-mail containing attachments that appear to be from IU/IUPUI accounts and support staff informing recipients that they have successfully updated their passwords, their accounts are suspended for security reasons or variations of such subjects. These are not legitimate mailings from UITS and the attachments on these messages should not be opened.
