The public is invited to watch the videoconference “Communities Respond to Youth Gangs in America,” at IU Northwest's Hawthorn Hall, Room 105, on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Central Daylight Time. The live broadcast from Washington D.C. will be presented by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The videoconference will highlight community programs and strategies from across the nation to address the problem of youth gangs. Broadcast objectives are: •Explore strategies to leverage existing resources. •Provide examples of partnerships across disciplines. •Highlight innovative strategies. •Share information on faith-based responses Seating is limited.
