New Webmail service activates Monday

On Monday (July 21), IU’s University Information Technology Services will release a new Webmail service, a completely new application designed to be faster and more stable than the original version.

Webmail provides basic E-mail service through a simple Web interface, allowing access to electronic mail easily from anywhere in the world without having to reconfigure a browser or mail client software.

New features include:
• Quota display
• Two-step deleting (delete, then purge messages)
• Saving drafts of messages you're composing
• Access to campus and personal address books
• Multiple "identities" or versions of personal information, including full name, reply-to addresses and signature files.
