Lea Ann Gebhard and John Paxson of IPFW’s Office of Publications have won a silver ADDY Award for their design of an invitation for the "Discover IPFW" theme gala last year.
Silver ADDY awards also were given for three campus advertisements designed by the agency Boyden and Youngblutt. The "175 Challenging Degrees" mixed media campaign was honored, as well as the "I Want to be a Teacher" and "Under Control" television commercials. The Division of Continuing Studies at IPFW won the Indiana Council on Continuing Education’s outstanding catalog cover of 2003. The cover was designed in-house by the IPFW Office of Publications.
Additionally, IPFW has received a first-place award for its year-long "Great Campus Car Giveaway" promotion from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), an organization that recognizes innovations in the marketing of collegiate athletics. Students registered at every Mastodons home game for a chance to win a two-year lease on a vehicle from promotion sponsor, Glenbrook Dodge Hyundai. The promotion culminated in a "final four" group trying keys to start the engine of the car. IPFW also received a third-place award for its men’s basketball season ticket brochure from the collegiate marketing organization.
"We’re excited that our efforts to promote student attendance at IPFW athletics events are being recognized by our peers from across the country," said Rick Granger, IPFW director of marketing. "This is the second year we’ve submitted our work to NACMA and the second year we’ve brought two awards back to IPFW," he said.
