Arts for ‘smART’s’ sake

If you live near Fort Wayne and need a summer activity for your child, consider the following. Studies show that students with four years of arts classes score 53 points higher on verbal and 35 points higher on math portions of the Scholastic Aptitude Test than students with no art classes. Then check out information on IPFW’s Community Arts Academy summer camps.

The sessions are next month and will focus on theater, show choir or media productions. The academy is sponsored by the IPFW School of Fine and Performing Arts. For information, call 260-481-6059.
