Thirty-five faculty members on the IU Bloomington campus were honored
at a spring reception hosted by Sharon Brehm, the Bloomington campus
chancellor, in honor of their retirements. Those attending were:

M. Jeanne Peterson, professor of gender studies and of history;
Sharon Harrell, associate professor of nursing; IUB Chancellor

languages and cultures; (second row, left to right) Kenneth Johnston,
Ruth N. Halls Professor of English; George Macklin Wilson,
director of East Asian languages and cultures and professor of history;
William D. Popkin, Foskett Professor of law; Archibald
Hendry, professor of physics; John Summers, professor
of marketing; Tony Mobley, dean of the School of Health,
Physical Education and Recreation; and Thomas C. Froehle,
