IU East’s Wagor an ACE

Wagor

Walter Wagor, assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs at IU East, has been named an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow for the next academic year.

The ACE Fellows Program, established in 1965, is designed to strengthen institutions and leadership in American higher education by identifying and preparing promising faculty and senior administrators for responsible positions in college and university administration. Thirty-five fellows, nominated by the presidents or chancellors of their institutions, were selected in a national competition.

Each ACE fellow focuses on an issue of concern to the nominating institution while spending the academic year working with a college or university president and other senior officers at a host institution.

Wagor will be examining several topics, among them successful establishment of graduate programs, enhancement of degrees in the arts and sciences, and engagement of the institution in the community. He is currently at work with ACE program staff to identify an appropriate host institution.
