The higher education of Alexander

This weekend marks the final chance for visitors to see Egypt After Alexander: Art under the Greeks and Romans at the IUB Art Museum. Coincidentally, Polish archaeologists this week found remnants of 13 lecture halls from the University of Alexandria, the oldest institution of higher education ever unearthed. The city of Alexandria, Egypt, was established by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C.
