IPFW triumphs and transitions

ACELINK, a broadband network designed to improve access and use of data which will in turn improve teaching and learning, is the result of several years of planning by the Allen County Education Consortium, the four public school districts in Allen County, the Fort Wayne Diocese and IPFW. Thanks to a grant from the Foellinger Foundation and funding from the IPFW Division of Continuing Studies, Sandy Schaufelberger was recently hired as ACELINK's project coordinator, a shared position with IPFW and the Invent Tomorrow Education Consortium. Bob Kostrubanic, director of information technology services, is one of the people who were instrumental in getting the broadband network up and running.

Stephen Ziegler, SPEA, has had two manuscripts accepted for publication. "Increasing Response Rates in Mail Surveys without Increasing Error: A Research Note" will appear in the Criminal Justice Policy Review, and "Physician-Assisted Suicide and Criminal Prosecution: Are Physicians at Risk?" in the Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics, May/June 2005.
