IUB Department of Biology teaching awards presented

To be a great biologist requires great instruction.

Toward that end, three individuals were honored for excellence in teaching at the IUB Department of Biology undergraduate awards ceremony last month. Frank Frey received the Outstanding Associate Instructor Award. Curt Lively and Jim Drummond were recognized with the Senior Class Award.

Frey was acknowledged for his superior work in courses S318, Honors Evolution, and B300, Vascular Plants. The Senior Class Award was established by the IUB Biology Club in 1979 to honor outstanding departmental faculty. Lively was highly praised by the students of his S318, Honors Evolution class, while Drummond was strongly recommended by his M350, Microbial Physiology and Biochemistry students.
