 Holly Gregory and TV friends
WTIU staff responsible for a program on the IU production of The Nutcracker ballet, and a weekly children’s series, The Friday Zone, and its host Holly Gregory have been nominated for Emmy awards by the Cleveland chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The nomination for Sugarplum Dreams: Staging the Nutcracker in the cultural affairs category recognizes the work of Susanne Schwibs, producer/editor; Ron Prickel, producer/videographer; and Gino Brancolini, executive producer. The work of Gregory, host/producer, and Jay Kincaid, director, is recognized in the children/youth programs-regularly scheduled category for two episodes of The Friday Zone. Gregory also is nominated in the crafts category as on-camera talent—non news. The awards will be presented on Saturday, June 8, by the organization, which includes television stations in Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron/Canton, and Toledo, Ohio; Bloomington, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Muncie and West Lafayette in Indiana; and Erie, Pa.
