| • During the current fiscal year, IU will spend more than $260 million on employee benefits. For example, between July 1, 2002, and June 30, 2003, more than $74 million of university funds will go toward health-care benefit program expenses.
• Angela Barron McBride, who will retire this year as university dean of the IU School of Nursing, wrote The Growth and Development of Mothers in 1973, a book selected as one of the best of the year by the New York Times. A symposium in her honor is planned Friday, June 6.
