Indiana University students from throughout the state have plenty to cheer about this month as they receive their hard-earned degrees at commencement ceremonies on the eight campuses. The commencement schedule continues today with an evening ceremony at IU East and IUPUI’s commencement Sunday will close out the annual rite of passage for the university. The pom-pom holders above were photographed at last year’s commencement in Indianapolis. Stay tuned to the IU Home Pages. We’ll have a commencement wrap-up issue May 25--our last of the 2000-2001 academic year--and let you in on the pomp and circumstance from each of the campuses.

More than 50 students from IPFW and area colleges and universities present their research and creative works at the IPFW Research and Creative Endeavor Symposium April 17. The symposium brought presentations from students from IPFW, Huntington College, Indiana Institute of Technology (ITT), Ivy Tech, Manchester College, Taylor University and the University of Saint Francis. The symposium was directed by David McCants, associate vice chancellor for academic affairs at IPFW. Among participants were junior Christine Carney of ITT (above).
