Motivation is the key to exercising on a regular basis

A block to getting regular exercise is the simple word “motivation.”

The Web site of the Adult Fitness Program at the IU School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation in Bloomington has some tips to get you moving in its current online newsletter.

Set specific exercise goals; put some variety into the exercise (change the speed on the treadmill, for example); exercise outside in good weather; exercise with a friend; and make exercise a priority.

Elisa Nielsen, a registered nurse and master’s degree candidate at the school, is the author of the article.
