| Three IU Kokomo campus students won the 2002 National Collegiate Investment Challenge. The team ranked in the top 5 percent of more than 1,300 teams participating from colleges and universities across the United States.
Each team started with a $100,000 fictional account and made trades in stocks and options using the Web. Teams with the most money when the competition trading closed on April 12 were declared state winners.
“The competition allows students to test theories, practice investment strategies, learn about capital markets and have fun,” said Dianne Roden, associate professor of finance at IU Kokomo.
