An ally, fellow and friend

Katz

IU Bloomington historian Irving Katz is the latest recipient of the Thomas Hart Benton Medallion for his many years of service to the Bloomington campus’ “living and learning” programs. The medallion was presented by IU President Myles Brand April 14 at a “roast” organized by Residential Programs and Services (RPS). In addition to his professorial role, Katz has been involved in the RPS Allies, Fellows and Friends Program for 20 years. The program pairs faculty, professional staff and community members with residence hall floors and living units.
