| The IU Opera Theater in Bloomington has announced its 2003-2004 season, entitled “Voyages of the Heart.”
All aboard the good ship opera, filled with adventure, deceit, folly and, of course, romance.
The season will feature six productions: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Abduction from Seraglio, Franz Léhar’s The Merry Widow, Giuseppe Verdi’s Falstaff, Douglas Moore’s The Ballad of Baby Doe, Gioacchino Rossini’s The Turk in Italy and Benjamin Britten’s Peter Grimes.
There are two ways to subscribe: the Regular Series subscription package and the Second Fridays series.
As Regular Series subscribers, members receive full-subscriber benefits, including all six operas for the price of five, first choice of the best seats for the entire season, and the convenience of ordering all tickets at once and having them sent by mail. Regular Series members can select tickets to performances of every opera for the same day of the week with the following three options: Series A—First Fridays, Series B—First Saturdays and Series C—Second Saturdays. The Second Fridays series offers subscribers general admission tickets at a lower cost for a more casual evening at the opera.
Renewal subscriptions for those who wish to keep the seats they had for the past season must be received by May 16. The deadline for the Regular and Second Fridays series subscriptions is Aug. 29.
Single ticket orders are now being accepted and will be filled after Sept. 5. Subscriptions are available in person at the Musical Arts Center box office; by phone through the MAC box office (812-855-7433), by Fax at 812-855-2753, or online:
