IU has seven federally funded area studies centers

Indiana University is home to a number of area studies centers, seven of which are federally funded under the Title VI Higher Education Act as National Resource Centers. The centers use a multidisciplinary approach to study specific areas of the world. Each center has expertise ranging from politics to anthropology, religious studies to economics.
