• “Citizenship in the 21st-Century World,” the faculty leadership conference sponsored by FACET, the Office of the President, Center for the Study of Global Change and the IU American Democracy Project runs today (April 23) through Sunday (April 25) at the University Place Conference Center at IUPUI. Satvinder Juss, an expert on international refugee law and human rights at King’s College, London, England, and Eric Lipton, a reporter for the New York Times, are among presenters.

• Those who missed the pre-inaugural concert April 14 at the IUB Auditorium still have a chance to hear a spring concert of IU jazz artist David Baker’s music. It’s this Sunday (April 25) at the Indiana Historical Society, 450 W. Ohio St., Indianapolis, at 7 p.m. The Buselli Wallarab Jazz Orchestra will be playing.
