Feiffer

| When The New York Times decided to run the first cartoon strip in its history, it turned to Jules Feiffer. Now Feiffer’s “op-art” cartoon strip appears monthly in that publication.
You can hear the cartoonist, writer and Pulitzer Prize winner talk about his career in the sixth Omnibus Lecture of the school year at IPFW. Feiffer will discuss “his life and funny times” Thursday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Walb Union on the Fort Wayne campus.
Feiffer, also the author of six plays, two novels, and three movies, weaves social, political and personal issues into a different way of seeing the world.
Fifteen collections of his cartoons have appeared in book form. His first book for children, The Man in the Ceiling, was selected by Publishers’ Weekly and the New York Public Library as one of the best children’s books of 1993. His most recent book, Bark, George, was Amazon.com’s first choice in its list of the best picture books of 1999.
