Regan-Kubinski new dean of nursing, health professions at IU South Bend

Mary Jo Regan-Kubinski has been named dean of the Division of Nursing and Health Professions at IU South Bend. She currently is the chair of the Department of Nursing at Saint Mary’s College. She will take over the post on July 1.

Regan-Kubinski has 20 years of experience in the nursing education field. Prior to her position at Saint Mary’s, she was an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh, assistant professor at Villanova University, a clinical instructor at Wayne State University in Detroit; an associate instructor at Kellogg Community College, Battle Creek, Mich.; and assistant professor at Saint Mary’s College.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wayne State, a master’s degree in child psychiatric nursing from Wayne State and a doctoral degree in clinical nursing research from the University of Michigan.

Regan-Kubinski has made numerous presentations on clinical judgment processes and strategies in psychiatric nursing, HIV, graduate nursing and parental suicide.
