| International Science Publishers will publish three volumes of Selected Works of Madan L. Puri. Puri has been on the mathematics faculty at IU Bloomington since 1968.
The editorial board of ISP, consisting of Peter Hall of the London School of Economics, Marc Hallin, director of the Institute of Statistics at the European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics, Brussels, and George Roussas of the University of California, made the determination to publish the three volumes. Not more than three researchers nationwide have been accorded the publication honor in the past 15 to 20 years.
Puri has published 238 research papers which include 12 books and collaborations with 68 researchers from 22 countries on five continents. In 1997, he was ranked the fourth most prolific author in top statistical journal publication during 1984-95. Among universities that did not have independent statistics departments, such as IU, his ranking was number one in output.
