Wylie to Herbert: Ceremonial memorabilia

From Andrew Wylie to Adam Herbert: Images of Presidential Inauguration Ceremonies will open Wednesday, April 14, and run through April 22 in the Lincoln Room of the Lilly Library on the IU Bloomington campus.

The exhibit, in honor of the inauguration of Adam W. Herbert as the 17th president of the university, will highlight the inauguration ceremonies of many of IU’s past presidents, among them Andrew Wylie, IU’s first president; David Starr Jordan, William Lowe Bryan and Herman B Wells.

Display items will include photographs, programs, texts of speeches and congratulatory letters.

The library is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
