More than a dozen faculty and staff were
presented with special awards last semester at the second annual Chancellor’s
Employee Recognition Convocation at University Place Conference Center.
The awards presented at the event were the Glenn W. Irwin Jr. Experience
Excellence Awards, the Carol D. Nathan Scholarship Awards and the
Staff Council Spirit Awards.

of Business. These scholarships are named for the former dean
of the faculties, who was a longtime voice of support for the
IUPUI Staff Council. |

| Ten faculty and staff were presented with
Irwin Awards, which are named for the former chancellor of IUPUI
and dean of the School of Medicine. Six of the winners appear
in the photo, which also depicts Yvonne Owens (second from the
right), staff council president. From the left those winners
photographed are: Jennifer Pease, director of the Enrollment
Center; Kathy Burton, Office of Information Management and Institutional
Research; Amy Jones, School of Liberal Arts’ student affairs
office; Pamela Jo McIntyre, administrative assistant to the
chancellor; Larry Hill, University College’s Advising Center;
and Sharon Lynch, School of Nursing’s Center for Nursing
Research. Other winners were: David Frisby, coordinator for
the IUPUI faculty and staff councils; Donna Boland, associate
dean of undergraduate programs in the School of Nursing; Alon
Harris, Ophthalmology Research Services in the School of Medicine;
and Nancy Lamm, director of freshman engineering in the School
of Engineering and Technology. |
