| Thirteen Indiana University faculty members have been selected to receive grants totaling $180,520 in the second round of the Ameritech Fellows Program.
Administered by the IU Office of the Vice President for Information Technology, the program was created in 1999 to support faculty in the efforts to effectively integrate the use of technology for campus and distance education. The program is supported by the Office of Distributed Education and the University Information Technology Service’s Division of Teaching and Learning Information Technologies.
“The faculty selected as IU’s Ameritech Fellows in this round will apply information
technology to enhance teaching and learning in disciplines including
history, education, biology and fine arts,” said Garland Elmore,
IU’s associate vice president for teaching and learning information
technologies. He said that the projects proposed by the winning
faculty will include CD-ROM authoring, Web-based interactive modules
and a digital time-lapse video.
