| • New Zealand scholar Paul Harrison
will be discussing a group of early Indian Buddhist manuscripts recently
discovered in Afghanistan. The manuscripts have profound connections
to materials preserved in the Chinese and Tibetan Buddhist canons:
Monday (Nov. 18) at 4 p.m., Kelley School of Business 201, IU Bloomington.
He will be available to meet with grad students Tuesday (Nov. 19,
2002).
• Three formal ceremonies are on the horizon on the IU Bloomington campus: the Kelley School of Business’ Graduate and Executive Education Center will be dedicated at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22; the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute will be dedicated at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12; and winter commencement will be Saturday, Dec. 21, at 9 a.m. at Assembly Hall.
• Students, staff and faculty will fill IUPUI Jaguar shuttle buses with non-perishable food items from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 19) on the University College Courtyard for area food pantries.
• IU East faculty, staff, students and friends strut their stuff for IU East’s Postscripts to the Arts. “My Favorite Broadway Tunes” will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at Vivian Auditorium, Richmond. Performers will be Alisa Clapp-Itnyre, soprano, and Tammy Williamson, piano.
