African American Dance Company studio concert

The IU African American Dance Company, directed by Iris Rosa, will be giving its annual studio concert on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. the Willkie Center Auditorium, 150 S. Rose St., Bloomington. Update: Due to a water leak at the Wilkie Center Auditorium, the studio concert has been changed to Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall, Indiana Memorial Union.

Admission is free. Students from the Intro to Black Dance Styles class and special guests will join the company, which is one of three ensembles of the IU African American Arts Institute.

The company's repertoire consists of original choreography based on a fusion of dance styles including modern, jazz, contemporary, African and Latin American forms.

The event is sponsored by the IU African American Arts Institute, the IUB Department of African American and African Diaspora Studies, and the Office of the Vice President for Student Development and Diversity.
