Indiana Partnership to Prevent Firearm Violence to host meeting on suicide prevention

On Friday, Sept. 27, the Indiana Partnership to Prevent Firearm Violence, in conjunction with Clarian Health and Riley Hospital for Children, will hold its annual meeting, with a focus on suicide prevention. Registration, which is free, begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Marott banquet facility in Indianapolis.

The meeting will feature two speakers of national acclaim: Dr. David Litts of the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General, and Dr. Alan Berman of the American Association of Suicidology. Information presented will include: the national and state call to action for suicide prevention; best practices programs and resources; statewide suicide prevention initiatives; and data related to Indiana’s suicide rates.
