| On Friday, Sept. 27, the Indiana Partnership to Prevent Firearm Violence, in conjunction with Clarian Health and Riley Hospital for Children, will hold its annual meeting, with a focus on suicide prevention. Registration, which is free, begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Marott banquet facility in Indianapolis.
The meeting will feature two speakers of national acclaim: Dr. David Litts of the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General, and Dr. Alan Berman of the American Association of Suicidology. Information presented will include: the national and state call to action for suicide prevention; best practices programs and resources; statewide suicide prevention initiatives; and data related to Indiana’s suicide rates.
