Herb Miller, professor emeritus of Slavic languages, was presented with Indiana’s highest service citation, the Sagamore of the Wabash, by state Sen. Steve Johnson at the Midsummer Night’s Gala in June. Miller is celebrating 40 years of service to
the university, 34 as a faculty member and 10 as the campus affirmative action officer.
Nancy Dailey, formerly director of development for major gifts at the IU College of Arts and Sciences in Bloomington, is the new vice chancellor for external relations. William Yost is vice chancellor of administration and finance. Read more

Earl Wysong, sociology, is the co-author of The New Class Society with Purdue’s Robert Perrucii.
Deanna Crispen, development, and Cathy Hightower, Alumni Association, presented a program on preparing for international visitors at the 20th Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors International Conference.
