PBS, Cuban baseball and grad school

Robert Anderson Clift arrived at IU Bloomington this fall to begin a graduate degree in communications and culture with some heavy-duty experience. As co-producer and director of Stealing Home: The Case of Contemporary Cuban Baseball, he saw his documentary premiere on PBS stations this summer, with initial airings running through October in major cities. Ultimately, he says, the film is about “a compelling sociopolitical conflict that is fundamental to any cultural ideology—the interests of the individual versus those of the greater good.” WTIU in Bloomington has plans to re-air the show Oct. 13 at 10 p.m
