· The space assigned to academic and administrative activities on the campuses of Indiana University account for approximately 10.1 million square feet.
· Two-thirds of all Hoosiers attend arts and cultural events, a rate consistent with national trends, according to a new study conducted by the Center for Urban Policy and the Environment at IUPUI.
· Bernardo Carducci, director of the Shyness Research Institute at IU Southeast, is quoted in the June issue of Psychology Today in a feature article titled "Mirror, Mirror: Seeing Yourself as Others See You." He is co-author, along with Ronald Allman, assistant journalism professor at IU Southeast, of a shyness workbook recently published by Research Press.
· According to The Indiana Entrepreneur, a publication of the Kelley School's Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the word "entrepreneur" comes from the 13th-century French verb "entreprendre," meaning "to do something" or "to undertake." By the 16th century, "entrepreneur" began to be used to define someone who was undertaking a business venture.
· Students In Free Enterprise team members at IU Kokomo were named second runners-up in first- round competition at the SIFE USA National Exposition May 22-24 in Kansas City, Mo.
