Thirty-five thousand tulip blooms festoon the IU Bloomington campus this spring season, compliments of a hearty fall planting by the Campus Division.

IU East’s Student of the Year, Brandon Elmore (far left) of Lewisburg, Ohio, is pictured with (left to right) Carey Treager Hubber, assistant dean for campus life; David Fulton, chancellor; and Benjamin Young, dean of students. Elmore, who is majoring in the behavioral and social sciences, received the award April 18 at a student recognition dinner. He’s been involved in Student LEADERS, the peer mentoring program and a number of campus and civic outreach projects.

Seniors in the undergraduate nursing degree program at IU East are pictured near Chinle, Ariz., earlier this spring when they accompanied Marsha Heffron Williamson, a lecturer in nursing, for an annual trip to the Navajo Nation to help update school immunization records. The annual trip was begun five years ago by Joanne Rains Warner, former dean of nursing on the Richmond campus.
