Teachers, get the kit 'Musical Instruments of West Africa'

A kit containing musical instruments of West Africa will enhance lesson plans for K-8 teachers planning a unit about that continent. "Musical Instruments of West Africa," a kit containing a carved slit drum, metal gong, slit bamboo scraper, straw shaker and a nutshell ankle is available on loan from the African Studies Program on the IU Bloomington campus. The kit also provides a 22-minute video and discussion guide and an activity guide to help students make and play their own instruments. The only charge is for the postage.
