Unsung Hero

  The Bloomington/Monroe County Community is enriched with a number of individuals who give quietly and unselfishly of their time, talent and resources for the benefit of others. These people go out of their way to assist, teach and support without looking for recognition. During the 2010 Juneteenth Freedom Celebration, we will honor these Unsung Heroes. The top four recipients of the Unsung Hero Award will be honored with a monetary donation to a charitable organization of their choice. Nomination forms must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on Friday, June 11th. A panel of advisors will review the nominations and select one recipient from each of the following categories. Those names will be announced at the Juneteenth Freedom Celebration on June 19th at Indiana University Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center.
