Awards
The NELC Department offers a number of awards to its students throughout the academic year. The following awards were given to outstanding NELC Undergraduate Students for the 2010–11 academic year:
- Adelaide Bryan has been awarded the Palmer-Brandon Prize. This prize awards $20,000 to two outstanding third-year juniors each year, and represents the largest award that the College of Arts and Sciences grants to students in the Humanities in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.
- Jaimie Johnson has been awarded the Haddawi Scholarship for excellence in Arabic language study for the 2010-2011 Academic Year at the 2011 NELC Spring Reception.
- Simon Krishnan has been awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award for the 2010-2011 Academic Year at the 2011 NELC Spring Reception.
