The National Center on Accessibility is committed to using technology
to provide continuing education programs that are cost-effective
and conducive to busy work schedules. The following distance education
programs are available through NCA:
Introduction
to the Rec Rule (Spring 2003)
Streaming video program. Join Peggy Greenwell and Bill Botten, of the U.S. Access
Board, as they highlight the major provisions of the newly released Accessibility
Guidelines for Recreation Facilities. This program is moderated by the National Center
on Accessibility and funded in part by the National Center on Physical Activity and
Disability and the National Park Service.

2002)
Streaming video program. NCA research findings in golf, beach access, trail
surfaces, swimming pools and visitor expectations.

This self-study package including a 2-part video, training packet
and web-based supplemental material. The 4-hour video program includes
presentation on the status of rulemaking and highlights of "best
practices" applications in outdoor recreation nvironments.

Director of the National Park Service; and featured sessions by
Peggy Greenwell, U.S. Access Board; David Park, National Park Service;
Ruth Doyle, USDA Forest Service; Peter Jensen, Open Space Management,
