Much of NCA’s success can be attributed to the unique partnerships that have been formed since the Center’s inception in 1992.


National Park Service
    The National Park Service has been a key partner to NCA since the Center’s inception in 1992. NCA works closely with the NPS Accessibility Management Program and Employee Development Program to develop initiatives throughout the year.

Indiana University
DOI Accessibility Committee
    NCA staff utilize the experience and expertise of the U.S. Department of Interior Accessibility Committee to guide NCA activities and new initiatives.

National Alliance for Accessible Golf
    The National Alliance for Accessible Golf is a collaboration of organizations committed to the inclusion of people with disabilities in the game of golf including, USGA, PGA, LPGA, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, the Club Managers Association of America, First Tee, National Therapeutic Recreation Society, American Therapeutic Recreation Association, the University of Utah, Clemson University and Indiana University. The Alliance is located at NCA where NCA provides administrative support.

National Center on Physical Activity and Disability
    NCPAD promotes the substantial health benefits that can be gained from participating in regular physical activity through a collaborative partnership between the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the National Center on Accessibility. NCPAD is funded through a grant by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
