On behalf of Rohit Dasgupta (President, MSISA), Fahad Khan (President, itSMF), and Shamika Chindhade (President, WiT), we would like to warmly invite you to the 2012 MSIS Mass Student Organization Call-Out on Tuesday, April 10th at 8:30pm in CG 1056. This event will be attended by both incoming and current MSIS students – we look forward to seeing you there!
To Qualify as an Potential Officer for the MSIS Student Organizations:
- IU Students in Bloomington: You must be in attendance (or be sure to contact your prospective organization’s president) to qualify for a potential interview.
- IU Students Abroad or Incoming International Students: A video of the presentation and Q&A session will be made available to you within 24 hours of the end of the event. You will receive a link in a separate e-mail and we will gladly hold Skype-based interviews!
During the event, we will share insights into how you may get involved and explain the application process. The following student organizations will be on hand to provide information on their offerings, position openings and upcoming events that you may attend as a returning or incoming MSIS student:

We are an organization that strives to enhance the MSIS experience through social activities, community service and alumni & professional networking while supporting the marketing of all MSIS associated student organizations.

Openings
- President – Responsible for maintaining the vision of the MSISA, communicating with external organizations within the Kelley School of Business, keeping in contact with the MSISA Alumni Advisory Board and coordinating the leadership team of vice presidents within the organization.
- VP, Social Activities – Responsible for maintaining a sense of community throughout the organization and MSIS program. By being culturally conscious and bridging the gaps between the diverse groups through the planning of widely accepted events, the Social Coordinator is able to provide an enlightening experience to all members.

- Dir, Intramurals - Responsible for coordinating the MSIS Teams for the IU wide intramural tournaments. This would include seeking more active participation from MSIS Students in the intramural tournaments.
- Dir. Special Interest Groups - Responsible for coordinating a variety of special interest groups such as a book club, a movie club and so on and organizing various meetings for them and setting the themes for the meetings.
- Dir, Alumni Relations – Responsible for keeping MSISA members in touch with Alumni through the consideration of alumni stakeholders and the coordination of alumni-oriented events.
- Dir, International Relations – Responsible for coordinating the incoming/current MSIS student Guide program and facilitating connections between the domestic and the international MSIS students. Initiating the mentor program by sending various communications and pairing prospective members with mentors and mentees.
- VP, Community Service – Responsible for reaching out to various community institutions and coordinating the logistics behind running mass community service events for MSIS students to give back to the locale.
- VP, Advertising – Responsible for facilitating the transfer of communications from within the Board to external personnel such as members, other organizations and undergraduates. Marketing MSISA events is one of the main priorities, from advertising the event using external resources, to communicating the event via MSISA account

- Dir, Publications – Responsible for coordinating efforts for content development with non-board members and drafting them into a finished product. Maintaining relations with alumni and potential MSIS recruits through a scheduled newsletter and website blog postings are of primary concern.
- Dir, Web Design – Responsible for managing website contributions, maintaining the website and updating memberlists to provision appropriate access. Being a more technical role, they will make sure the proper structure is in place to be conducive for Board member content updates, along with maintenance of streaming video and other interactive content.
- VP, Finance and Fundraising – Responsible for facilitating the financial expenditures of the organization. They are responsible for reimbursements along with validating purchases for the organization certifying money is spent properly and efficiently. Responsible for creating managing fundraising events that have the intent of bringing in profit to contribute to the MSISA or another non-profit organization.

itSMF – IT Service Management Forum (3 openings)
A Student Local Interest Group (itSMF IU S-LIG) is a unique, membership-oriented association dedicated to the advancement of IT Service Management best practices through knowledge sharing, educational and networking opportunities.

- VP, Membership – Drive membership through itSMF knowledge and learning opportunities. Engage in opportunities to lead a university to becoming part of itSMF (main point of contact, help build value and membership in that university)
- VP, Certifications & Treasurer – Lead certification preparation (ITIL, possibly others) in the Spring semester. Manage itSMF accounts and treasury.
- VP, Knowledge – Develop relationships with service professionals and plan on-site visits as well as speaker series events for members

WIT – Women in Technology (4 openings)
WIT aims to enhance the overall MSIS experience through a series of events designed to aid you in your professional development, personal development andcommunity outreach.

Openings
- President – Set goals and create a roadmap for the organization; lead the team to successfully provide value to the students. Act as the main liaison between ISGP, WIT and other organizations.
- VP, Professional & Personal Development – Ensure that WIT goals regarding professional & personal development are carried out through events and other workshops. Act as the main liaison between outside university contacts and alumni.
- VP, Community Service – Create and manage opportunities for WIT to participate in philanthropies. Communicate community service opportunities to WIT members.
- VP, Finance & Fundraising – Mange the SOA account and activities surrounding fundraising for the organization. Create innovative ways to generate funds which will be used to contribute back to the students.
