Ask a Librarian email account statistics for 2000 From 01/01/2000 to 31/12/2000, the Ask A Librarian email account received 6061 questions, of which, 5653 questions 189 purchase requests 165 comments (these are real questions too) 54 update requests This gives us an average of 505 questions per month, an average of 17 questions per day. During the same period, we sent out a total of 7218 replies. This gives us an average of 601.5 replies per month, an average of 20.3 replies per day. Here is the breakdown by month: questions replies Jan 523 653 Feb 624 746 Mar 618 705 Apr 580 724 May 453 543 Jun 408 497 Jul 342 436 Aug 340 486 Sep 629 718 Oct 567 664 Nov 611 642 Dec 366 404 We also received 527 thank you notes for 2000. For Jan 2001, with the new IUCAT related questions and workshop registration, we sent out 788 replies, more than 25 replies a day, the highest ever since we started the service (There were 591 questions).
