- Cambridge History of English and American Literature - Online version of all eighteen volumes of this distinguished scholarly encyclopedia. Assembled from 1907 to 1921. Four volumes are dedicated to the literature of North America and the vagaries of American English. The volumes include 303 chapters and more than 11,000 pages, edited and written by a worldwide panel of 171 leading scholars and thinkers of the early twentieth century.
