  • Botany.Com, the Encyclopedia of Plants - Browseable by common or botanical name and category (bulbs, perennials, trees and shrubs, etc.), the site offers a general description, cultivation and propagation instructions, and information on the different varieties and hybrids.
  • Fishbase - A Global Information System on Fishes
  • Old Farmer's Almanac - North America's oldest continuously published periodical, providing information on weather and soil conditions since 1792. Online version offers weather forecasts, times of sunrise and sunset and moonrise and moonset, eclipse schedules, agricultural reports, and other seasonal features.
  • Plant Encyclopedia - Search by botanical or common names; or search by attributes - plant type, bloom season, flower color, and growing conditions.
