STAFF NEWS

Effective May 19, Stacy Terhune resigned from her position as Technical Services Assistant in the Education Library at Bloomington.

Effective April 20, 2000, Elizabeth Hanson became the Science Reference and Instruction Librarian. Since the position is physically based in the library where the coordinator of the science libraries is the head, her office is now located in the Chemistry Library, IU Bloomington. As the Science Reference and Instruction Librarian, Elizabeth will work with all the science librarians to facilitate library services and collections across departments. She is the collection manager for the Science Reference Fund, coordinates the Science approval plan, and continues as the collection manager for the Speech and Hearing fund. She also now serves as coordinator of Web activities in the science libraries and will be appointed to BERSERC as the Science representative, July lst. Elizabeth is available to assist in other campus science libraries as needed, e.g., to fill in for a librarian who is on sabbatical leave, on extended sick leave, on vacation, on special assignment, etc. Elizabeth had served in the Life Sciences Library, first as Reference Librarian and then as Assistant Head, since November 1993. While her new assignments will involve working with all the science librarians, her office will be located in the Chemistry Library. She can be reached at: 855-4094 or 855-9452, Chemistry Library, Chemistry Building Room C003.
